Is there a law that says opposite sex children have to have separate bedrooms?

I have my kids everyother weekend and I live in a one bedroom apartment so they ussually just sleep in the living room on the couch or one will sleep in my bed with me. they are 11 and 9 years old. I will be moving to a two bedroom soon but my ex is telling me that is not good enough, and they need seperate bedrooms. I can not afford seperate bedrooms for them as 25% of my income goes to there mom.
I searched to see if there is a law and i couldnt find one, I am curious if there are others in this situation? and if anyone would know what the law is in washington state?

what state do you live in? i have heard that after certain ages, yes...but you only having them for a small amount of time, i would imagine you would be fine.
